Easy Moving Hack: Moving Hanging Clothes

Moving soon? This little hack has saved me time, money, and frustration through multiple moves.

You don’t need a special box just to move your hanging clothes. You don’t have to take them off the hangers and fold them in boxes, either.

Move your clothes easily and without too much hassle using just a trash bag.

Here’s how it works:

Grab some trash bags from a local Walmart, Target, or wherever you shop. Make sure they’re at least 13 gallon bags. The bigger, the better.

Once you have your trash bags, go into your closet.

Find a small section of hanging clothes. Open the trash bag up to “swallow up” the clothes from below. Pull the bag up and around the clothes.

Once they’ve been fully enveloped, loop the ties around the top of the hanger, as shown below.

Looping the ties around the hanger will keep the bags in place while they protect your clothes.

When you get to your new place, all you have to do is hang them in your closet and remove the bags - and you’re done!

Super duper easy.
